2 Acres (1.5 open, .5 wooded).
Started with a 25'x20' garden almost 3 years ago.
Our soil is very rocky and took a lot of work to get it ready for planting.
Last year (2020) we added a 30x30 plot for corn and potatoes.
This year (2021) we will be expanding the 30x30 to 50x30.
In 2021 we added a small chicken flock! Meet the Girls here!
We have many wild berries on the property that we make our jams from. (Black Raspberry, Blackberry, and Wine Berries)
We have a lot of wildlife that we enjoy watching on a regular basis.
We try to practice sustainable strategies such as composting and crop rotation.
We have one of the largest Tulip Poplar trees in Frederick County and MD!
We store many of our excess produce by canning or vacuum sealing.
One goal for starting to sell our products is to be able to afford chickens
